General
What is Racket Tag?
Racket Tag started as a hobby project and lets you create QR codes for your rackets. Scan the code to see the string type, tension, and other details you recorded.
Why use Racket Tag instead of filling out the shop's form?
You fill in your setup once and reuse it at every shop, which means fewer forms and fewer translation errors. Racket Tag captures the specifics a paper form often misses — per-string-bed tensions, pre-stretch, knot types, notes — so stringers get it right the first time. Read the full story
Is Racket Tag free?
Yes — Racket Tag is free for anyone who prints their own tags. We'll be offering printed Racket Tag stickers shipped worldwide soon, and we're also adding features for stringing shops. No ads, no hidden paid plans.
Which sports are supported?
Badminton, squash, and tennis. Each sport uses its own QR code size optimized for printing on that type of racket.
Do I need to install an app?
No. You create cards in the web app, and anyone with a modern phone camera can scan the QR code and open the card — no app required.
Account & Sign-in
How do I sign in?
Enter your email and we send a magic link. Click the link to sign in — no password to remember.
I didn't receive the magic-link email. What should I do?
Check your spam folder first. If it still hasn't arrived, wait a minute and request another link, or reach out via the contact form.
How do I delete my account?
Open your profile and use "Delete account". We send a confirmation email; clicking the link permanently removes your account and all your cards.
Cards & QR codes
What information goes on a card?
Owner name, racket name, optional brand and model, string brand and type, tension in lbs or kg, the date it was strung, and free-form notes.
Can I edit a card after creating it?
Yes. Every field on a card can be edited at any time from your dashboard, and the QR code keeps working.
Who can see my card?
Anyone with the link or QR code can view the card — the public pages are intentionally open so friends, coaches, and stringers can scan without signing in. Don't put sensitive information on a card.
Does the QR code ever expire?
No. The QR code points to your card page and stays valid as long as the card exists. Deleting the card also retires its QR code.
Printing your stickers
How do I print stickers at home?
Buy sticker paper (A4 or US Letter adhesive label sheets) from any office supply store. Download the QR image or A4 sheet from the Stickers page, then print it on your inkjet or laser printer. For best results use a laser printer — the prints are more durable and water-resistant. Apply the stickers to your racket's butt cap.
Can I get them printed at a local print shop?
Download the QR image or A4 sheet and save it to your phone or a USB drive. Take it to a copy shop or office supply store with a printing service and ask them to print on sticker paper or vinyl sticker material. Vinyl stickers are ideal — they're waterproof and resist wear from handling.
Can I order printed stickers from Racket Tag?
Yes. From the Stickers page, select your cards and choose 'Order stickers' to get professionally printed kiss-cut stickers shipped to you. Each sheet contains 12 stickers sized for your sport (badminton, squash, or tennis).
The QR code won't scan — what went wrong?
Make sure the sticker is printed clearly, flat, and not covered. Avoid shrinking the QR code below the recommended size, and prefer a laser printer or vinyl sticker for durability.
Privacy & Data

Yes. Your profile has an "Export my data" action that downloads everything as a JSON file.
What happens to my data if I delete my account?
When you confirm account deletion, your profile, all cards, and their QR pages are permanently removed.
